HVAC Field Service Supervisor
Blackmon Service, Inc. serves both Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia as a full HVAC service and mechanical construction company. While specializing in data centers and other critical environments, we provide our services for a variety of customers in our service region. BSI has an immediate opening for an HVAC Field Service Supervisor covering Western NC, Eastern TN and SC. The position will directly interface with the BSI HVAC field technicians in the area and will work very closely with the Director of Service to support existing clients and help acquire new clients.
Job Functions
· Provide technical support to field technicians.
· Provide TA/Sampro/Canvas/Bamboo training for new hires in the region.
· Provide hands-on technical training with new hires.
· Coordinate with service dispatchers to support emergency service calls.
· Meet with customers on-sites to review project opportunities, service issues, etc.
· Coordinate and/or perform owner training when needed.
· Help manage on-call and holiday support schedules.
· Help identify opportunities for replacement systems and work with the installation department providing solutions to customers.
· Help manage mechanical commissioning support services including coordination with other BSI departments for support.
· Some travel within the service coverage area is required.
· 75% Field / 25% Office
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent HVAC technical skills to support technicians.
· Good communications skills for interfacing with other office staff and customers. Ability to discuss technically challenging material with non-experts is required.
· Organized and thorough in thoughts and paperwork.
Minimum Requirements:
· Two-year associates degree or similar field experience.
· EPA Card Required
· Knowledge of low GWP refrigerants preferred.
· Knowledge of complete Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
· Must complete a minimum of 40hrs of technical & safety training annually
· Must complete a minimum of 40hrs of Professional training annually
