Electrical Engineer – Compressor Station Projects
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to oversee the design of compressor station facilities for expansion and maintenance projects. You’ll work closely with third-party engineering firms, ensuring designs meet company standards, industry codes, and project requirements—while keeping everything on schedule and within budget. What You’ll Do:
- Ensure all compressor station designs comply with regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards
- Manage third-party engineering firms, ensuring design deliverables align with project budgets and schedules
- Design electrical components and interconnects for compressor station facilities
- Review and approve technical drawings, reports, and material listing sheets
- Participate in design review meetings with engineers, project managers, operations, and construction teams
- Evaluate vendor proposals for gas compression equipment, vessels, buildings, generators, pipe, valves, and fittings—recommending selections based on technical merit, cost, and delivery
- Identify and communicate lessons learned and quality improvements for assigned projects
- Support department initiatives as needed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Required)
- 4 years of industry experience (Required)
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, applying standards and past experience to resolve issues
- Ability to communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical teams
Work Environment:
- 80% office-based – Collaborate with multiple project teams
- 20% field-based – Scope projects, support procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Work involves time-sensitive deliverables and requires strong Microsoft Office skills
