Piping Designer
Bradley County, TN
$80,000-$105,000 plus benefits
We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to support plant and engineering projects across multiple chemical production facilities. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, strong design skills, and the ability to work in brownfield environments, integrating new systems into existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop general arrangement layouts, piping isometrics, and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D piping models for project reviews.
- Perform field visits to gather accurate measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure feasibility.
- Ensure designs align with ASME and API codes and support proper equipment access for maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine project scope and deliverables.
- Update and create as-built drawings for P&IDs and piping layouts.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in design, drafting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in piping design within the chemical industry or a related field.
- Experience in brownfield environments—ability to integrate new designs into existing facilities.
- Field experience required—must be comfortable performing site visits, gathering data, and verifying designs.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Cad WORX or Plant 3D preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ASME and API codes, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
