Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of paving operations, including proficiency with paving equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and guide a team.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including days, nights, and weekends, as required.
- Exceptional organizational skills to complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards.
- Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule asphalt crew activities to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor asphalt laborers and equipment operators in the proper techniques for spreading, finishing, and compacting asphalt.
- Provide hands-on training and development opportunities for crew members, fostering their professional growth.
- Assign and prioritize daily tasks based on project needs and crew capabilities.
- Monitor ongoing work to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety by ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and company policies.
- Oversee or assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project success and team efficiency.
