Job Duties: Develop deep knowledge of the PI SMA Solutions platform and SMA business to help execute on tactical and strategic initiatives; Collaborate with SMA Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Specialists to build technical solutions to scale their investment processes; Triage incidents and manage time-sensitive releases as the need arises including on an overnight basis on a couple of occasions; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new platforms and improve system scalability and efficiency; Design and implement complex algorithms in python to manage and rebalance large number of fixed-income separately managed accounts efficiently. Develop and maintain advanced data handling techniques using relational databases and APIs, ensuring seamless integration with the firm’s optimization engine; Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of containerized workloads and services like Kubernetes to support production environments and enhance software performance; Lead the development of internal tools and libraries to standardize practices and streamline processes, while also evaluating emerging technologies to drive innovation and support strategic objectives; Design, implement, and maintain complex Python algorithms for the rebalancing of ~30,000 fixed-income portfolios with a total of ~$22.5B, using Aladdin’s optimization engine; Develop Python and SQL scripts to assist portfolio managers with tasks such as auditing account holdings, identifying accounts requiring trading, updating account details, and generating daily reports; Utilize Aladdin APIs and databases for efficient data handling and application support; Provide in-depth support for Aladdin applications, ensuring seamless production operations and resolving technical issues; Create design specifications for integrating software with new platforms while adhering to current standards and best practices; Conduct thorough testing of algorithms to ensure high quality and comprehensive coverage of all scenarios; and maintain internal Python libraries to standardize coding practices and prevent code duplication across the team; Write Perl scripts for secure and efficient internal file transfers to locations accessible by the team; Oversee citizen developers, guiding them in best coding practices and ensuring the delivery of high-quality code; Evaluate the applicability of new GenAI tools and technologies to enhance team capabilities and business operations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; and 12 months of experience as an Analyst, or related role. One (1) year of experience with: Python; SQL; JavaScript; Object Oriented Programming; Investment Processes; Building and managing risk management and investment platforms; Microsoft Azure; Version control system including Git, and; Perl.
