Job Duties: Design, document and implement new software or modify and improve existing software. Lead contractors in designing, debugging and implementing software. Perform quality and validation testing of software to discover and remedy bugs, improve performance and correct implementation errors. Support and maintain production software including upgrading interfaces and improving performance. Mentor junior developers. Contribute to team architectural patterns and best practices. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine best design solution. Estimate and create user stories to align with product delivery. Take responsibility for end to end delivery of software programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Technology or a related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Senior Software Engineer, Technology Lead or related. Requires experience in the following: Programming in Java and J2EE technologies like JMS, JTA, RPC; Integrating with Kafka and Cassandra; Defining interfaces in Google protocol buffers; Designing and building using API-First principles using REST/gPRC; Git and Maven; Unit Testing and Integration testing tools; Mocking frameworks; Azure Devops for CI/CD; Monitoring application performance using tools like APPD, Grafana, Splunk.
