Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by performing multi-craft maintenance, focusing on reliability and efficiency. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of production machinery, ensuring smooth and sustainable operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in process improvements and problem-solving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical, systematic methodologies.
  • Perform installation, alignment, and adjustments on mechanical drive systems.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including major servicing and overhauls.
  • Replace failed parts or components as necessary to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Conduct electrical system testing and verify circuit continuity using appropriate tools (ohmmeters, voltmeters, etc.).
  • Install, examine, repair, or replace electrical components such as wiring, switch boxes, conduits, and lighting fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to support future maintenance planning.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on equipment servicing and maintenance best practices.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and longevity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or comparable maintenance role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, etc.).
  • Experience using shop equipment, including drill presses, band saws, and portable power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret precision measuring devices.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of certification testing (if applicable).

  • Continuously improve knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment through ongoing learning.
  • Complete an annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and participate in training programs.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is maintained in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Adhere to environmental guidelines and handle materials responsibly to minimize impact.

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary for working safely in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
