What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Track and Field Assistant Coach position at Blackstone Millville Regional School District?
Blackstone-Millville School District is in search of assistant coaches for the middle school and high school outdoor track teams. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated expertise in specific events.
Coach Expectations:
- Use SportsYou platform to communicate with parents and players
- Plan and lead practice sessions to provide appropriate sport instruction for a variety of abilities
- Foster an environment of sportsmanship and respect
- Maintain proper inventory of uniforms and team equipment
- Ensure player safety during practices and games
- Collaborate with Athletic Director to ensure all players meet eligibility requirements for participation
- Participate in athletic open houses and the district’s annual coach summit
Qualifications:
- Fundamentals of Coaching certificate required after 1 year
- CPR/First Aid/AED certificate
- Concussion training
- Previous track coaching experience
- Prior experience as a player
