Blackstone is looking for a talented and passionate full-time Photographer. At Blackstone you will work with a wide range of items and subjects-from products, to food, to lifestyle imagery. There will always be different ways to express your creativity while working with an experienced team and fantastic products.
Company Description
Blackstone Products designs and manufactures outdoor cooking appliances and accessories. These include griddles, grills, and pizza ovens fueled by liquid propane and charcoal. These products are sold through major retailers across the US and Canada. Our products can be found in Walmart, Lowes, Ace, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and many online retailers such as Amazon.
Essential Functions:
- Photographs products in a studio or on-site using still, video, or digital cameras and a variety of photographic accessories.
- Photographs or videos food and food preparation.
- Edits photos for intended use of images, including manipulation, photoshop, and resizing.
- Research product and food photography trends.
- Assists with photo shoots, including setting up lighting, positioning subjects, managing props, and ensuring smooth operation during shoots.
- Organizes digital files by properly labeling and archiving images according to project guidelines.
- Learns technical skills by gaining proficiency in camera operation, lighting techniques, and composition principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- AA degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven photography experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating skills and creativity
- Proactive and able to show initiative and ideas
- Current with industry-leading software, hardware, and technologies (camera and lighting equipment, Lightroom and Photoshop)
- Open to constructive feedback
- Contributes and works well within teams
- Any cooking and food styling experience is a plus
