Job Title: Area Manager Location: (Albuquerque/Santa Fe)
Salary Position
The Area Manager will report to and under the direct supervision of the Senior Vice President.
Qualifications:
The Area Manager will possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent security experience or at least 5 years of general management experience in a related service industry or contract or proprietary security services experience is highly desired.
In addition, we require the following skills:
- Proven track record of excellence in customer service and financial management (awards, top rankings, etc.).
- Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills.
- Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships.
- Proficient in web-based applications, computer systems and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materials.
- Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes.
- Willingness to attend professional networking or community events in the evenings.
- Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely and professional manner.

Job Requirements
- Able to acquire an Armed/Unarmed Security Guard License
- Experience in Microsoft Word/Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Ability to learn Track Tic scheduling, tracking and payroll system.
- Must maintain a clear criminal background and pass all random drug testing requirements.
- 36-month clean driving record and proof of insurance.
- Needs to have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
- Able to travel between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
- Must always meet all Blackstone Security Dress and Grooming Standards.
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner when interfacing with clients, public and Blackstone employees.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Leadership training preferred (as scheduled by Blackstone).
Position Description:
To ensure success as an Area Manager, you should have excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to identify divisional problems and solve them quickly and efficiently. Ultimately, the regional manager should have a strong working knowledge of management best practices and the ability to motivate and support division personnel in their assigned area.
In addition, the Area Manager will continue to develop current client relationships and assist Blackstone and Business Development Manager in fostering new client contacts for future business prospects.
Primary Objective:
Area Managers will oversee the divisions assigned area to ensure a workable schedule that meets the guard force’s needs and always keeps in mind the minimal overtime objective. Area Manager will oversee the divisions guard force to ensure they meet Blackstone Security Dress and Grooming Standards upon assignment. Area Managers will be responsible for corrective actions that are in line with Blackstone’s policies and procedures for disciplinary issues.
Area Managers must be flexible and adapt to changes in duties and setting priorities.
Area Manager duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct all operational, financial, administrative and staff activities for the assigned Region. Build and retain profitable business growth in a stand-alone market. This includes leading the delivery of services through a team of support staff of the Division, depending on the size of division.
- Build Blackstone Security’s business, reputation, and profitability by delivering exceptional customer service to all clients and ensure that all operations staff and guard force do the same.
- Maintain an open line of communication with clients and be assessable for meetings at least once a week or on a schedule that is agreeable with the client. The Area Manager will respond promptly to all client inquiries and concerns.
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as necessary, determined by the Senior Vice President.
- Assist Accounts Receivable Manager with billing issues and collection of Aging Accounts within the division.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
- Oversee the development and updates of Post Orders per client contracts, and make sure the guard force has access to and understand every aspect to the client’s satisfaction.
- Oversee operational functions for payroll, scheduling, training, for the division to ensure accurate recording of guard hours for payroll and billing within Track Tik to ensure Payroll Reports, and Billing Reports are ready to process on the required dates.
- Oversee the compliance of the guard force at each location, including schedules that meet the client’s contract, uniform, and training compliance.
- Oversee maintenance of company vehicles including licensing, cleanliness, required services, and verifying the safe operations of these vehicles by the guard force, reporting any damages as required.
- Coach, counsel, and develop divisional personnel to grow within the company.
- The Area Manager should take the initiative to suggest to Blackstone Management potential improvements to the overall operations within the division.
- Works under the oversight of the Senior Vice President to ensure the mission of Blackstone
- Security Services is completed in a professional manner.
