Job description
We are looking to hire someone with a current guard license only. This position requires Tier 2 capabilities with OC & Baton in a retail setting with guards on their feet throughout their shift. We have part time & full time positions available.
We are looking for a competent Security Guard to undertake patrol of the client’s premises and protection of the client’s staff and visitors. You will be responsible for deterring, detecting, and reporting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts, or other criminal behavior. A security guard must be well-trained in surveillance and reporting activity. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company to maintain excellent working conditions by keeping client facilities safe and problem-free.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the areas.
- Ensure all non -authorized areas are locked and secured.
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
- Submit written reports of all incidents.
- Contact your direct supervisor when EMS is on property
Skills
- Proven experience as security guard of at least 1 year
- Bilingual ( preferred )
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Excellent observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in report writing systems.
- Have an active Guard Card. (Not expired)
- Ability to maintain professionalism in unwelcoming situations.
