Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary:

Blackstone Security Services, Inc. is seeking professional and dedicated Security Officers to join our team. Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle security-related incidents in a professional and customer-service-oriented manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible security presence through regular patrols and monitoring assigned areas.
• Assist employees and visitors with security concerns and general information.
• Enforce site policies and procedures, including access control and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, parking areas, and property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems as needed.
• Document and report all security incidents, suspicious activities, and safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
• Provide escort services upon request, especially during nighttime hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Security Guard License – Must meet state licensing requirements.
• Experience – Minimum of 24 months of prior security experience required.
• Training – Completion of basic security training, including emergency first aid (CPR, First Aid & AED) and patrol procedures.
• Communication Skills – Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Background Check – Must pass a criminal background check and provide a recent driving record (if applicable).
• Drug/Alcohol Screening-Must pass drug/alcohol screening.
• Professional Appearance – Must maintain a neat and clean uniform while on duty.
• Physical Requirements – Ability to stand, walk, and patrol premises for extended periods, as well as respond quickly to incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Familiarity with security policies, emergency response procedures, and access control systems.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate situations professionally.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Various shifts available, including morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors at different client locations.
• Security personnel may be assigned to specific sites or serve as roving officers based on operational needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
