Head of Product Design

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Head of Product Design to join our Client's team.

Job Summary:

We seek a talented and creative Head of Product Design to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing new consumer products from concept to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development: Generate innovative product ideas and concepts that align with our company’s vision and customer needs.
• Design Execution: Create detailed product designs, including sketches, 3D models, and prototypes.
• User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback to inform design decisions.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of design, functionality, and branding.
• Design Iteration: Continuously iterate and refine product designs based on user feedback, testing, and market trends.
• Material and Manufacturing: Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to inform design innovation.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, guidelines, and production-ready assets.
• Team Leadership: Direct team of designers with clear deliverables and ensure all design elements are completed to brand standards for excellent customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Degree in industrial design, product design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a product designer in the consumer products industry or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, SolidWorks).
• Excellent sketching, 3D modeling, and prototyping skills.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Ability to translate concepts into visually compelling and functional designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for innovation.
• Experienced in leading a team.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques.
