Description of Duties:
The Procurement Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will report directly to the Enterprise Management (EM) Director on the IRES contract. The Procurement Manager supervises a team of buyers (including hiring, training, and delivery accountability) and manages material planning and buying of approximately $50 million of purchases per annum across over 15 active task orders in a highly integrated matrixed organization.
The candidate will provide support for, and direction of, the following:
1) Leadership and Management: Drive sustained superior performance, with a focus on continuous improvement; develop and manage coordination, collaboration, communication, integration activities and processes between IRES and Government stakeholders; strong and effective communication, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills; develop opportunities for growth, both in revenue and profitability; provide the appropriate training and guidance of members of the procurement team members across the IRES contract; and ensure and promote the development of employees such as succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development.
2) Operations: Maintain DCMA Purchasing System approval on the IRES Contract; ensure the IRES procurement systems and processes meet contract and corporate objectives; successfully integrate and coordinate procurement operations to meet the requirements of the IRES task orders; understand the audit manuals and scope of Accounting System and Purchasing System reviews, and coordinate with DCAA and DCMA as necessary to provide effective audit support; manage policies and procedures for IRES procurement, ensuring alignment with company directives; and deliver on small business utilization goals through material procurements.
3) Customer Relations: Maintain the highest levels of fairness, business ethics and personal ethical conduct; optimize customer visibility; interface with IRES stakeholders and Government officials; establish transparent, trusting and strategic relations; and brief leadership on procurement status, as well as key issues impacting financial and technical performance.

This position will be filled in Colorado Springs, CO and required to come into the office a minimum of 2 days a week (frequency may increase week by week depending on need).
Basic Requirements:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience.
- Must have 8 years of direct experience in supply chain fields
- Must have 5 years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Degree in supply chain or business management
- Certification(s) in Lean Six Sigma, Defense Acquisition, and/or Federal Acquisition Development Program
- Experience with DCMA approved procurement systems
- Experience with IT hardware and software procurement
- Direct supervision experience of at least 10 people
