Full or Part-Time Dispensing Audiologist needed!
Blackstone Valley Hearing Centers is a hearing healthcare office with 2 locations - Cumberland, RI and Uxbridge, MA. We are seeking an Audiologist or highly qualified Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team! The job will rotate between the two locations.
Job Description
The ideal candidate for this position is a licensed audiologist or hearing instrument specialist comfortable with working with adults of all ages and abilities. Our goal is to help patients hear their best and be a part of their community. We strive to treat every patient like family and provide quality care using best practices. Familiarity with multiple manufacturers helpful. Valid audiologist license or eligibility for licensure in both RI and MA is a must.
Responsibilities
- Hearing testing
- Hearing aid selection and ordering
- Ear impressions, as needed
- Hearing aid fitting, orientation, follow up care
- Programming and real ear verification of hearing aid fittings with multiple manufacturers
- Routine maintenance and in office repairs of hearing aids
- Ordering replacement parts and supplies as needed
- Complete charting, order forms, and other necessary paperwork in timely fashion
Qualifications
- Active state license
- Board certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience providing testing and selling/fitting hearing aids
- Maintain CEU requirements for licensure
- Maintain professional liability insurance
- Ability to operate audiometer and review results with patients
- Ability to select appropriate hearing aids and fit to prescriptive targets
- Ability and desire to develop relationships in order to create lifelong patients
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy clinic schedule
- Ability to write reports and SOAP notes for every appointment
