What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Blackstone Valley Hearing Centers?
We are a small but fast-paced hearing health office in search of an experienced patient care coordinator. The role of a patient care coordinator includes checking patients in and out, answering the telephone and scheduling appointments, verification of insurance benefits, checking in orders, entering superbills and payments received, reconciliation of sales/cash each day, and maintaining product database as it pertains to each patient. Other duties as required.
The person we are looking for is responsible, energetic, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly. Minimum requirements include high school diploma and computer skills, a high degree of patience and empathy, great phone skills, and the ability to communicate well with the hearing impaired. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese welcomed but not required. We would love to find a candidate who is comfortable finding the answer when they don't know and who is looking to be a long-term team member.
Hours are slightly flexible - Monday through Friday 8:45 - 4:00 is ideal with some flexibility on non-clinic days. This position will require some independence so responsibility and organization are a must.
