Blackstone Innovations Investments (BXII) is the early-stage investing arm within Blackstone. Job Description
As a team member of BXII, SVPs will have a unique opportunity to invest in emerging companies that are well-positioned to benefit from a deeper relationship with the largest alternative asset manager in the world. You will work directly with BXII leadership and senior executives across Blackstone to build out thematic areas of interest for investment and conduct deep market research. Key focus activities for this position will also be sourcing, company due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management and governance.
A critical component of the team’s approach is to find synergies between BXII portfolio companies and the broader scale and resources of the Blackstone platform. This is done through a variety of activities including, but not limited to, tapping into the operating expertise of the firm, driving connectivity between management teams and Blackstone’s businesses, building collaborative vendor and customer relationships, and providing companies with access with Blackstone’s global network. You will help drive this engagement and support companies as they scale their business.
The ideal candidate should possess: resourcefulness and thoroughness; strong financial and analytical skills; experience or a demonstrated interest in technology; a strong network across relevant industries of interest; ability to work independently; good project management skills with the ability to multi-task; strong written, presentation and oral communication skills; passion and an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
Expected annual base salary range:
$225,000 - $275,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.

- Identify, evaluate and develop investment opportunities.
- Lead due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation of terms sheets and definitive deal documentation.
- Direct the execution of investment transactions; monitor the strategic, operational and financial performance of the company’s portfolio investments.
- Oversee all relevant financial analyses for a deal.
- Conduct research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
- Perform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities under consideration.
- Contribute to the preparation of due diligence packs for an investment opportunity, providing relevant, informative analytics and background research on the target company and industry.
- Contribute to the preparation of written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for use by the BXII team.
