As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead and inspire a group of dedicated professionals in ensuring the production of high-quality products. You'll oversee daily operations, enforce safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operators adhere to safety protocols, including compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Lead team members in producing high-quality products by ensuring compliance with food safety (SQF) and good manufacturing practice (cGMP) requirements.
- Verify that operators execute production requirements as detailed in SOPs, Batch Records, and on-the-job training, and ensure activities are properly documented.
- Conduct on-the-job training for all production, quality, and safety-related procedures.
- Prioritize production resources and activities to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
- Maintain open communication regarding the status of production activities with production management and between shifts.
- Foster a team environment with clear expectations and accountability, promoting a clean and organized workplace that minimizes waste.
- Coordinate production requirements with cross-functional teams, including Quality & Regulatory, Supply Management, Facility Maintenance, and Shipping & Logistics.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the production team.
- Flexibility required for working some weekends and overtime when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Professional training in manufacturing-related programs such as Six Sigma, ISO, or TQM.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years supervising others in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Results-oriented professional with excellent English verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently or within a team, with strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb or balance.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
