Blackwood Family Medicine is a well-established independent family practice known for high-quality, patient-centered care. As part of Privia Medical Group, we enjoy the resources of a larger organization while maintaining the personal feel of a hometown practice. Our team includes nine providers (most working 3 days per week), dedicated support staff, and leadership that truly supports work-life balance.

Who You Are

• Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Family Medicine Physician

• Active Virginia medical license, or willingness to obtain

• 2 years post-residency experience preferred, but open to the right candidate

• You’re collaborative, communicative, and prioritize patient relationships

• You value teamwork, integrity, and enjoy being part of a practice that works as a unit

• You believe in blending modern medicine with good old-fashioned kindness

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient-only setting

• Manage chronic conditions, acute visits, wellness, and preventive care

• Collaborate with physician assistants, nurse practitioners, MAs, and administrative staff

• Support ongoing quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

• Help shape the future of the practice through ideas and feedback—we value your voice
