The Safety Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines and prevent work-related injuries. This role serves as a liaison between management and field teams, enforcing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of workplace safety.
The Safety Coordinator works closely with HR, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to train employees, conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, and implement preventative measures that align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
✔️ Implement and enforce safety policies and OHS programs
✔️ Conduct safety training, risk assessments, and site inspections
✔️ Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
✔️ Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
✔️ Work closely with HR, Superintendents, and field teams to maintain a safe workplace
✔️ Maintain safety records and track compliance
✅ 2 years of experience in a safety role (construction preferred)
✅ OSHA 30 & CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
✅ Knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management, and compliance
✅ Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
✅ Valid Driver’s License (required)
✅ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to work on-site, in various conditions, and a flexible schedule
