Education, Training and Experience:
- High School diploma required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Bus/Truck mechanical operations required
- Experience in Tire Changing and Maintenance preferred
- Must have strong diagnostic, technical and communication skills
- Ability to gather and evaluate data and comprise a repair plan
- Obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s license Class A or B with Endorsements P & S within first 3 months of employment
- Obtain and maintain NC DPI School Bus Inspection Certification within first year of employment
- Obtain and maintain a NC DMV State Safety Inspection License within first year of employment
- Ability to assist in purchasing decisions for inventory needs
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
- Possess and maintain a basic tool set necessary to perform daily duties ? Ability to work in adverse weather conditions at remote locations ? Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.
- Working knowledge of basic Computer Skills required for mechanical operation
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, write, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
