Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Production Manager to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of landscape practices. This role requires hands-on involvement in various landscaping tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscaping crew, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
- Oversee landscape operations including plant and flower installation, flower bed maintenance, sodding, mulching, stone work, etc.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in landscape construction and maintenance techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in landscape maintenance and/or construction with a focus on supervising teams.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques including lawn care and installations (i.e. various plants, flowers, trees, stone).
- Ability to recognize common plant species
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in training or mentoring staff.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
