Compensation

Base pay starting at $17.00 / hr

The pay listed for this position may vary based on experience. Please note, compensation decisions are contingent on the facts and conditions for each job opening. We take into consideration the minimum requirements outlined in the job description, such as, training and experience, the position's work location, required travel (if any), and external market conditions when determining the final salary for potential new hires.

Job Duties

As an IT Finance Analyst Intern, you will play a key role in assisting the IT team with data analysis, reporting, and providing insights that connect financial performance with IT operations. This internship will offer you valuable hands-on experience in both IT and finance, providing an opportunity to develop technical and analytical skills while contributing to key business decisions. You will work closely with various teams to support the development of financial reports, assess financial performance, and use data to identify trends and insights.

Develop a thorough understanding of capitalizable versus operating expenses to enhance financial decision-making and budgeting expertise

Assist in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through tracking budgets, monitoring actuals, Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) review, variance analysis, and effective oversight of Capital and Operating expenditures.

Assist in aggregating and summarizing IT financial related data using technical tools and basic accounting principles.

Help identify trends, variances, and the drivers behind them to support IT in decision-making.

Support data integrity checks and ensure the accuracy of financial information before it is presented.

Assist in linking operational IT metrics with financial performance and helping to forecast future financial results.

Aid in the development of basic financial models, including sensitivity analysis, rate versus mix, and correlation analysis.

Collaborate with business partners to gather relevant information and support the communication of insights and analysis.

Support the identification of risks and opportunities in the IT financial performance data.

Prepare findings and assist in creating reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or a related field.

Be 12-18 months from Graduation from an accredited University or College

Have a 2.5 GPA or higher

Possess a valid driver's license
