Job Description
The Pet Department Head will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the efficient stocking of the pet department. This may include:
- Performing retail store clerk duties in the agriculture and pet departments
- Determining work assignments and delegating tasks to associates
- Training new associates to ensure a smooth onboarding process
- Attending seminars to enhance knowledge and skills
- Processing special orders for customers
- Maintaining accurate on-hand balances
- Assisting customers and associates with problem-solving
- Providing support to other departments as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Great communication skills
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
- Able to pass a background check
