We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Process insurance claims, including Medicare and other health plans, ensuring accurate billing and coding practices.
- Utilize office systems for data entry,
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and follow-up appointments.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning documents, and managing correspondence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar clerical role preferred.
- Familiarity with health information management systems and office software applications.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with phone systems and handling medical billing processes is desirable.
