What You’ll Be Doing
Our Fire Suppression Technicians travel to current customer sites to service and maintain portable fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and pre-engineered fire suppression systems. Our technicians are also installing pre-engineered and engineered systems fire systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Servicing equipment from extinguishers to emergency lights and suppression systems; performing maintenance, recharging, repair, and hydrostatic testing
- Advise customers on fire protection equipment and techniques, fire codes, standards, and compliance
- Perform site surveys to educate customers on required related fire protection equipment
- Monitor and maintain the proper working order of the company vehicle and recharge equipment
- Explain product capabilities, warranties, product usages, and challenges to customers
- Comply and enforce safety requirements while on company property/ site
- Manage the set-up of all servicing routes and customer site visits
What Skills Do I Need?
- Experience in the fire protection industry, specifically the servicing of fire extinguishers and suppression products is required
- Education in fire protection industry and skilled trade is desired, as well as solid mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry compliance
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication
- Time Management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Education/Licenses:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license; good driving record
