Heavy Haul Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting freight across south Louisiana. This role requires a professional driver who is comfortable operating a Peterbilt Tri axle heavy haul truck pulling a 4 axle lowboy. Duties

• Operate commercial trucks over south Louisiana, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight.
• Load and unload machinery.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure compliance during route driving.
• Home nightly
• Working locally in South Louisiana and must live within 30 miles of Hammond, LA.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Mut have TWIC card
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly in heavy haul.
• 1 year of OTR experience in the last 3 years
• 6 month 7-8 axle heavy haul experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
