What You’ll Do:
- Lead and engage campers in exciting activities like games, arts and crafts, sports, swimming and outdoor adventures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Collaborate with fellow camp staff to ensure a safe, fun, and memorable summer for campers AND counselors.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of PA Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.

- Active Participation: Ability to participate in and engage with children in a variety of activities, such as: swimming, field games, walking, field trips, crafts, sports, and other recreational activities in a variety of summer weather conditions and environments.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with fellow counselors, camp staff, and supervisors to create a supportive and unified environment.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual, ensuring a consistent and positive experience for campers and other camp staff.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children OR college credits toward a degree in education or human services field
- Clearances required upon hire
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
