Job Summary:
- Communicate, facilitate, instruct, direct , monitor, evaluate, and lead the entire MDS process.
- Coordinate gathering and sharing of clinical information for the MDS and RAI process.
- Assures physician’s certifications are in place and followed up as necessary.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: R.N. or L.P.N. graduated from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current Massachusetts registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must have previous experience working on a nursing unit in a long term care facility. Must have the understanding of all regulatory requirements in the area of documentation including but not limited to all state and federal regulations. Must understand OBRA, Medicare, Managed Care and case mix requirements. Knowledge of MDS, RAI and CAre Planning Process. Must have excellent communication skills and possess team leadership. Must be able to meet deadlines and have computer literacy.
