Job Summary:
Housekeeper
- Sweeps, mops, dusts, and washes all fixtures, furniture, windows, and interior structure of the building on a daily basis.
- Dusts, cleans, and polishes all furniture, such as chairs, book cases, paintings in public areas, day rooms, offices, and other common areas on a daily basis; cleans walls, windows, doors, chairs, closets, on a rotating basis as well as vacuums and performs other floor treatments as necessary.
- Cleans all surface areas of utility rooms, linen rooms, attendant stations, public bathrooms and common dining rooms, including tables after meals, and kitchens, including refrigerator and all exposed shelves.
- Empties trash in common areas on a daily basis
- Replaces soap and paper products in resident and public areas on a daily basis and cleans public areas on a daily basis..
Launderer
- Follow procedures for washing, drying and ironing of personal garments. Understand the function of the various soaps, bleaches, softeners and other chemicals employed in washing and rinsing.
- Hang up or put away patients' personal clothing in patients' rooms.
- Deliver linen, using a minimum/maximum system.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: No experience is necessary but is desirable. On-the-job training will be provided.
