Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and assist in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement activities to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents
- Assist in organizing events, outings, and programs tailored to residents' interests
- Provide support in memory care activities and recreational therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities meet the individual needs of residents
- Help residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
- Manage schedules and maintain accurate records of resident participation
Skills:
- Experience in memory care, senior care, or nursing home settings
- Knowledge of dementia care and aging issues counseling
- Ability to plan and execute engaging events and activities
- Familiarity with ADLs and schedule management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for providing compassionate care to seniors
