Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Rochester, NY. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our landscape construction and turf and landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch construction and landscaping services.

Responsibilities :

1. Project Management :

Plan, organize, and supervise landscape construction and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Plan, organize, and supervise turf services division

2. Team Leadership :

Lead and motivate a team of skilled professionals, including project managers, supervisors, and field crews.

Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.

3. Resource Allocation :

Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes.

Collaborate with procurement to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and equipment.

4. Client Communication :

Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their expectations and address any concerns.

Provide updates on project progress and ensure client satisfaction.

5. Quality Assurance :

Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold the company's standards of excellence.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and safety compliance.

6. Budget Management :

Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage project budgets.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure projects are financially viable.

7. Regulatory Compliance :

Stay informed about local regulations and ensure all projects adhere to relevant compliance standards.

Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.

Qualifications :

Proven 3 years experience in operations management within the landscaping or construction industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of landscaping practices, materials, and equipment.

Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
