Blake & Pendleton (B&P) is the largest Sullair Distributor in the Southeast. B&P offers highly unique services aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving compressed air usage in customer’s plants and facilities.
B&P is searching for a qualified Tax Accountant whose primary role will be to prepare and file Federal, State, Sales and Use, and Property Taxes.
To be considered for this role, our ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge basic accounting transactions and procedures, and general sales & use tax concepts. In addition, our ideal candidate should be a self-starter, with a keen attention to detail and time management, while also exhibiting strengths in Excel and other computer applications.

B&P is searching for a qualified Tax Accountant whose primary role will be to prepare and file Federal, State, Sales and Use, and Property Taxes.

Tax and Fixed Asset duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Federal and State tax estimates, submit payments, address any taxation issues for multiple states
- Manage, Review and Submit Sales & Use Tax filing requirements for multiple states
- Prepare/Submit all property taxes, business licenses, and annual reporting requirements for multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage and prepare 1099 year-end requirements
- Manage the Fixed Asset system
- Prepare all entries related to tax and/or fixed assets
- Other duties as assigned
Tax and Fixed Asset requirements are:
- Three plus (3 ) years verifiable experience in accounting, specifically in Corporate Income Tax compilation, Sales & Use Tax submission, Property Tax submission, and Fixed Asset management
- CPA license is preferred, but Corporate Tax compilation experience plus current CPA exam preparation and testing will be considered
- Proficiency in Excel, MS office applications, and accounting software
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Detailed and analytical oriented
- Flexible attitude to support accounting functions, as needed
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- ?Organized, able to multitask
- Self-starter in a high paced work environment
- Work within established procedures and meet deadlines
- Experience with Compressor or other industrial sales/service is a plus-will train
