Fast-growing, dynamic service company in Orange County has an immediate need for an Accounting Manager.
$130-150K plus 10% bonus

- CPA highly preferred, not required

- They want this person to reduce the close time and implement new policies and procedures. Will supervise 2-3 staff.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and timely fiscal month-end accounting close
- Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the close process and implement process improvements
- Creates and/or posts journal entries and reviews account reconciliations
- Review payroll accounting, bonus and commission accruals, and account reconciliations
- Review of AP transactions and payment cycles
- Assist with all areas of treasury, including cash management
- System administrator for GL and AP functions
- Assist Vice President, Finance and Audit in developing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures
- Responsible for leading and participating in adhoc project teams related to system implementations, audits, etc.
- Develop and enforce company systems, policies, and controls as they relate to accounting and finance
- Manage and coach a team of up to two.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance or related field, CPA preferred, not required
· Minimum of 6 years' accounting/reporting experience
· Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Extensive experience with accounting and consolidation software systems
· Prior supervisory experience effectively leading and developing subordinates
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the Company
· Detail-oriented and accurate
· Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment to resolve complex accounting challenges
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
