We are seeking a Director Level person with experience in brining new product innovations to market, preferably in the food and beverage industry. The right individual will have an understanding of the steps and milestones to bring a new product to market successfully. They will have experience in launching and growing new products in new segments and have key relationships with national distributors and chains.
Key Elements of this Role
- Develop and lead project plans from ideation to launch of new products in the beverage segment including cider, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic, functional, rtd, and other segments.
- Ensure commercial success of new launches by working with our chain team to secure needed placements and support and leading chain buyer presentations and follow ups.
- Work with our field sales teams and distributor networks to ensure successful launch and ongoing sales of all new product innovations.
- Work directly with chain buyers to manage the ongoing sales, growth, and programming on our innovations. Direct ongoing interaction and management of chain buyers for the assigned segments.
- Understand industry, segment, and consumer data that can drive insights into new areas of opportunity.
- Provide input into the product development process to ensure segment and consumer needs are being met.
- Develop route to market plans nationally including identifying segments, chains, category space, distribution networks, and channels to ensure commercial success.
- Set specific goals and targets and track them to completion
- Develop business case and presentations to executive leadership on all new product innovations at the ideation stage of development
- Full ownership of P&L responsibility on all new innovation launches
- Work with our marketing and trade teams to develop the proper marketing and field launch support for new launches
