Wholesale Production Line Operator

The Production Line Operator is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all production equipment across the Blake’s Production Operation to include apple pressing, cider making, cider packaging, and caramel apple making. Being able to setup, operate, clean and troubleshoot equipment will be a key part of this position. In this critical production position, you will be responsible for safely producing the highest quality products while upholding the Company’s Core Values. This position involves repetitive, iterative jobs and is well suited for an individual who takes pride in minor details and understands their impact on the success of Blake’s Orchard, Inc. and Production on the achievement of our overall goals. This position is full-time and will require the individual to occasionally work longer hours during the peak season.

Responsibilities and Duties

The following list of essential job duties is not all-inclusive; the production line operator is required to perform other duties as directed by management.

• Ability to follow recipes and procedures properly every time.
• Working independently and as a team to operate, setup, tear down, clean and troubleshoot all production equipment to include commercial press equipment, cider making and blending equipment, bottling equipment, and caramel apple making equipment.
• Promote a strong teamwork environment. Must be able to train and help others to advance their skills.
• Participate in quality improvement and process waste elimination efforts.
• Adhere to all food safety and quality programs and the constant practice of safe work techniques
• Maintain production and quality records on a daily basis as required.
• Hard working and creative minded individual
• Attention to detail is a must to ensure only the best quality products are produced
• Flexibility to work changing schedules and longer hours to adapt to business needs in peak seasons

Education, Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food/beverage production work experience a plus
• Ability to actively listen and cooperatively solve problems
• Technical capacity to understand equipment at a high level
• Ability to consistently follow recipes and procedures
• Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and commitment to following through
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Passion and desire to continuously self-assess and improve
