Job Location:
This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work onsite in Arlington, VA one day a week.

Job Description:
We are looking for a 1099 Contractor for a 16-week project, with the possibility of extension. We seek an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement an AI-assisted document analysis system in AWS GovCloud. This role requires expertise in integrating multiple AWS cloud services, with a focus on AWS Bedrock and/or AWS SageMaker. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying large language models in web applications and automation, building serverless architectures using Lambda/Python, and securely configuring cloud environments. In this role, you will:
- Develop a serverless application in AWS GovCloud using S3, Lambda, Bedrock, and other services
- Develop an AI-assisted automated workflow for document processing utilizing Bedrock or other NLP methods
- Configure secure access controls appropriate for government systems
- Create a simple web interface for document upload
- Develop Lambda functions using Python
- Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment working closely with stakeholders to iteratively develop the application
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of AWS development experience.
- 3 years of Python programming experience.
- 1 year of experience with AWS GovCloud.
- 1 year of experience with AWS Bedrock or AWS SageMaker.
- 1 year of experience developing solutions that meet IL4/IL5 criteria and DoD requirements.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in front end user interface development (HTML, JavaScript, Angular, or similar).
- Experience migrating document libraries to AWS cloud environment (S3).
- Experience with document processing – text extraction, NLP, OCR.
- Significant experience with multiple foundational models and prompt engineering.
- Ability to develop and configure secure cloud applications with proper authentication.
- Understanding of government security requirements.
- Active AWS Certification(s).
Salary : $125 - $175
