Job Description :

Blake Willson Group is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a federal contracting office by providing expert guidance and administrative support across the acquisition lifecycle. This role will focus on driving pre-award and post-award contracting activities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in federal acquisition processes, contract management, and administrative functions within a contracting office.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the contracting office, offering expert-level guidance on acquisition processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide administrative support to the contracting office, ensuring documentation, records management, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Support pre-award activities, including requirements development, drafting acquisition packages, conducting market research, preparing cost estimates, and supporting source selection processes.
  • Support post-award contract administration, including performance monitoring, invoice processing, contract modifications, and ensuring contractor compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor financial performance, track contract deliverables, and ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining acquisition workflows and enhancing compliance with FAR, AGAR, and other federal acquisition regulations.
  • Contribute to growth efforts by identifying opportunities for contract expansion and supporting strategic initiatives within the acquisition space.

Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Fifteen (15) years of professional experience, including 10 years supporting cradle-to-grave federal acquisition processes.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Integrated Acquisition System (IAS), Program Loan Cost Expense (PLCE) Management, System for Award Management (SAM), and Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI).
  • Extensive experience providing administrative and operational support to a federal contracting office.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pre-award and post-award contracting activities, including drafting acquisition packages and contract administration.
  • Deep knowledge of the FAR, AGAR, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Desired Skills :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across all levels of federal contracting offices.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data, develop cost strategies, and support performance evaluations for contracts.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly in acquisition and financial program management.
  • At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $145,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
