Job Title: Concrete Pump Operator
Blanchet Concrete Pumping, LLC is a privately owned company providing concrete pumping and telebelting service in the Mid-Atlantic area for over 20 years. Concrete Pump Operator. Once trained and certified, you are assigned a Pump Truck and are dispatched to job sites representing Blanchet Concrete Pumping, LLC. You are in charge of your Pump truck, interacting with the customer and Ready-Mix drivers, and placing the concrete as specified for the job.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CDL
- DOT Medical Card with ability to pass random drug/alcohol tests
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates a concrete pump truck.
- Drives the truck to the jobsite and back to the yard with special attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Checks the jobsite prior to pulling onto it, ensuring the ground is stable, that there is plenty of room for the ready-mix trucks and that there are no safety hazards, risk of tire damage or turn over and/or no objects interfering with pump set up.
- Sets up, uses and maintains tools and equipment associated with concrete pumps mounted on trucks, platforms, or separate placing booms.
- Operates the pump, monitoring the movement of concrete to locations where it is poured.
- Duties includes resolving issues related to the pouring & pumping of concrete, clean up after the job, and some minor repairs.
- Responsible to clean truck, fuel truck, and stock truck when returning to yard (and light repair)
- Expected to represent Blanchet Concrete Pumping, L.L.C. in a positive manner and relate with customers in a professional, reasonable manner when working on jobsites
- Expected to maintain a professional appearance (uniforms available)
- Works irregular hours with many last minute changes; exhibiting flexibility, punctuality and reliability to the needs of the company and its customers
SKILLS REQUIRED/ABILITIES:
- Good driving record
- Normal abilities in hearing, seeing, reading, writing and communicating with others
- Good customer relation skills
- Ability to have balance and dexterity to walk around various construction jobsites along
with manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump truck in all weather conditions
common to the area of the country
- Able to load and unload concrete pumps and attachments
- Ability to lift 150 pounds from a squat to an overhead position, and push & pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to trouble-shoot minor mechanic problems and able to keep the equipment clean and in good operating condition
- Ability to stand up for ~12 hours a day if necessary
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem solving skills
- Must be able to report to a supervisor and take/follow directions assigned
through dispatch office with a positive attitude and keeping attention
to company policy
