Experienced reimbursement associates are given a variety of cost report preparation and consulting tasks; the position may include accounting/bookkeeping tasks or projects, if the candidate possesses such skills. Performance is judged on proficiency and effectiveness of task performance, including the quality of work, application of performance, reimbursement and accounting knowledge, the ability to meet time constraints and client service. Experienced associates lead cost report and consulting engagements and collaborate with clients to effectively achieve the desired outcomes. There is significant potential for advancement within our fast-growing, employee-owned firm.
Essential Performance:
- Work closely with assigned clients in the healthcare field, including nursing homes and other healthcare provider types
- Prepare Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to assist clients in obtaining appropriate reimbursement under federal and state regulations by required deadlines.
- Effectively communicate with clients and Medicare and/or Medicaid contractors via telephone and email.
- Review trial balances, financial statements and client information for cost report preparation.
- Prepare reports summarizing clients' cost report results.
- Work on reimbursement-related consulting engagements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of experience preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, is desirable but less experience will be considered
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including excel, word, etc.
