What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Bland Landscaping Company?
To perform preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repair of light and medium duty gasoline and diesel vehicles.
Production - Duties may include, but are not limited to the following :
Inspect vehicles and equipment for repairs needed; perform minor repairs / replacements such as brakes, alternators, batteries, wipers, filters, starters as well as suspension and steering parts
Preventative automotive maintenance tasks as needed
Change and repair automotive and trailer tires.
Order materials and parts as needed
Maintain service records for all equipment, materials, and parts used.
Perform related duties as assigned included by not limited to seasonal services provided to customers. Example : Snow Removal
OSHA and other regulations are followed for all equipment as well as the shop.
Required Skills
Requirements -
Must have a valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
Must submit to a reference and criminal background check.
Lift up to 50 pounds (overhead) in weight.
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
Learn principles and practices of auto maintenance and repair
Learn proper automotive repair shop safety techniques
Maintain time, mileage and servicing records.
Identify automotive parts and supplies.
Learn to follow workflow charts for minor diagnostic and trouble shooting
Strong written and communication skills.
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Required Experience
