Polisher

As a polisher at Blasius, you will be responsible for polishing quartz countertop products in a wet tool environment. This position follows standard work methods in accordance with company policies and practices safe work habits to ensure jobs are completed as efficient and safe as possible.

Primary Responsibilities

• Polish product to correct defects and finalize product completion per order specifications using appropriate hand tools and power tools
• Responsible for quality control and reporting errors to Shift Foreman or Stone Shop Manager
• Ensure working environment is clean and safe and adhere to safety guidelines
• Performing other tasks related to the fabrication such as grinding as directed by Stone Shop Manager.
• Performs additional duties as required and or requested.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with openings on 2nd and 3rd shift. Typical 2nd shift hours are Monday afternoon through Friday evening, 2pm to 10pm while 3rd Shift hours are Sunday evening through Friday morning, 10pm to 6am. Training will take place on 1st shift, which typically works 6am to 2pm.

Our focus is to fabricate and install outstanding custom countertops at the highest quality they can be produced.

Compensation

This position starts at $15/hour (during training period) and upon completion of successful training will potentially increase to $16/hour plus appropriate shift premium.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficient in mechanical skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to produce high-quality work

Able to lift 100 lbs

Knowledge and use of hand and power tools

Proficient with a tape measure

Well organized and able to keep a clean workspace
