Description : POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for operating computer numerical control machine (CNC) to fabricate countertops. This position uses CAD / CAM Software to generate NC Code, load slabs for the machine, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all assigned operations
- Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to SawJet & Shift Lead or Supervisor
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety policies and procedures
- Inspect machined products
- Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent
CNC knowledge / experience
Language, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills :
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written with co-workers, leads, and supervisor in all situations.
Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability :
Critical thinking skills
Troubleshooting skills
Computer Knowledge and Technical Skills :
Basic computer knowledge is preferred
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand throughout the day. As well as, lift and / or carry (up to 100 #) continuously or sporadically, possibly above shoulder level; kneel, bend, balance, squat, twist, push, pull and / or crawl; and climb to varying heights throughout the work day. As well as, the use of fine dexterity, talk, hear and read documents, computers, and observe work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Requires ability to adapt to constant change with environment and surroundings. May be exposed to varying temperatures, conditions and exposed to different levels of danger with the use of power tools and other machinery and equipment. Expected to maintain a high level of safety awareness in all situations.
SCHEDULE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position has no travel requirements
General Work Schedule :
3rd Shift : 9pm to 5am
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Must have ability to work independently, work under high stress or pressure situations with tight deadlines. Possess strong attention to detail. Must be assertive, motivated, flexible, and reliable.
