General Description
Under the direction of the VP Cast Products, the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor will be instrumental in maintaining all equipment and building functions. Generation and completion of equipment and machinery p.m.’s while maintaining a safe working atmosphere will be priority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Direct, plan and coordinate operations for the maintenance department to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production.
- Ensure focus on safety when completing all tasks.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Develop and maintain an effective machinery maintenance program, including preventative maintenance and critical component inventory. IE Tool crib
- Analyze equipment or machine problems, quality problems and production delays, expediting repairs and / or corrective actions to minimize downtime and work schedule interruption.
- Utilize and manage outside vendors, consultants, and sub-contractors in conjunction with engineering and purchasing departments to supplement company resources when required.
- Work closely with production control and manufacturing departments to schedule maintenance and / or repairs at appropriate times.
- Maintain the training of maintenance personnel.
- Develop and complete maintenance and routine tasks to ensure functional operation and reliability of BCT assets both moveable and fixed.
- Develop and maintain P.M. logs on fixed and moveable equipment.
- Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, etc.
