Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and per the contract documents. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise in Metal Buildings, and the ability to coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Review and Analysis: Review customer and vendor contracts against project plans, specifications, and addenda to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Project Accounting Coordination: Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of project receivables, payables, and profit margins.
- Purchasing Management: Act as a purchasing agent for multiple vendors, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services required for the project while adhering to budget parameters.
- Submittals Management: Review, coordinate, and manage project submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and timelines.
- Request for Information (RFI) Management: Review, organize, and gather responses to internal and external RFIs, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of inquiries.
- Project Scheduling: Manage and monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Delivery Coordination: Manage project deliveries, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and components.
- Field Issue Resolution: Respond to and manage any field claims, working proactively to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Coordination and Reporting: Provide regular updates and reporting to the PM Director to ensure alignment of project goals, progress, and challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) as a project coordinator, project manager, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of PEMB systems, including intermediate knowledge of PEMB design and detailing concepts, contracts, drawings, specifications, and project management processes.
- Experience in blast and protective design PEMB projects is not required but will be considered a plus.
- Expertise in reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating with accounting teams for project-related financials is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage RFIs, vendor relationships, and delivery logistics effectively.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is not required but will be considered a plus.
