Harrisonburg Service Plumbing Supervisor
Specific Job Duties:
The Plumbing Supervisor position has dual responsibilities split approximately 50/50 between Administrative/Quotes and Field Supervision. The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day management of plumbing jobs and technicians. The Plumbing Supervisor is also available for emergency technical support, solving issues with techs and customers, and gathering information for job quotes and providing information to the Service Install Estimator. The Plumbing Supervisor will embody the core values of Blauch Brothers, Inc. to facilitate customer relationships and employee retention. The Plumbing Supervisor will support the company standard for continuous improvement.
- Review daily schedule with Dispatch
- Establish job priorities through regular communication with Dispatch
- Provide technical support to field technicians
- Ensure parts and materials are ordered daily to facilitate the activities for the following day
- Ensure work orders and time entry are completed properly
- Quality assurance – Randomly inspect job sites and provide feedback to technicians, monitor day to day job site progress and workmanship
- Gather accurate information for service install estimator to complete quotes
- Provide outstanding customer service to new and current customers
- Coach technicians about mistakes made
- Review quoted jobs with Service Install Estimator to ensure profitability
- Ensure safety meetings are conducted and documented for your division
- Responsible for van inspections
- Execute reviews according to Blauch Brothers, Inc. standards
- Responsible for execution/completion of Service Plumbing Rocks
- Partnering with the Service General Manager to create a business service plan
- Participate in training opportunities to gain additional knowledge
- Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, standards, new technologies, etc.
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school or trade school graduate or GED
- 5 years of plumbing experience minimum
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required
Schedule:
- Full time salary exempt role, 8-10 hour shifts
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Some infrequent weekend work may be required
