My client is a well-established construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments throughout Florida. With a diverse portfolio that includes office buildings, retail centers, hospitality, healthcare, and multifamily projects, they continue to expand their footprint in Central Florida and are actively seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Orlando.

Role Overview

The Estimator will play a key role in the preconstruction process, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a wide range of commercial and multifamily projects. This individual will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure well-coordinated, detailed pricing and scope coverage throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, budgets, and cost estimates at all stages of design
• Review and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids and scopes of work
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
• Support the development of proposals, bid packages, and presentations
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and executives to align on pricing strategies and project goals
• Maintain historical cost data and unit pricing for future benchmarking

Ideal Candidate

• 3 years of experience in estimating commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use construction projects
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and industry pricing
• Proficient in estimating software (such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines
