Our Preschool Gymnastics classes introduce fundamental movement skills in a fun, structured setting where toddlers build confidence and make new friends. Through this program we empower children with the skills, confidence, and mindset to continue growing both in and out of the gym.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role focuses on maintaining high-quality instruction, staff training, and overall program development. The “Tots” Coordinator plays an integral part in shaping the experience for both students and staff, fostering a positive and structured learning environment. This position is hands-on, with the majority of scheduled hours dedicated to coaching, alongside administrative and leadership responsibilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach Classes: Instruct classes for our Preschool progrram, making up 70–80% of scheduled hours
- Curriculum Development: Write and develop lesson plans for the program to ensure consistency and quality instruction
- Coordinate Class Assignments and Scheduling: Assess coach abilities and collaborate with the Blaze Managing Director to assign lead and assistant coaches accordingly
- Conduct Staff Training: Work alongside leadership team and experienced lead coaches to ensure staff are properly trained
- Set the Tone: Establish and uphold the direction of the program, conducting regular check-ins (monthly or quarterly) to communicate expectations with staff
- Oversee Showcase: Lead the planning and execution of the annual end-of-year showcase for your program. Responsibilities include scheduling event times, ordering awards, coordinating staff, arranging the facility, and preparing class rotations.
- Onboard New Hires: Oversee the onboarding and training of new staff members working with your program
- Arrange Themes: Plan themes and coordinate supply orders with Director of Operations as needed
- Order Supplies: Maintain organization of program supplies, working with Director of Operations to restock items as necessary
- Maintain Facility and Equipment: Ensure equipment safety through regular inspections and communicate repair or purchase needs to leadership team
- Time Allocation: Approximately 80% of hours will be spent coaching, 15% on leadership and managerial duties, and 5% on facility upkeep and administrative tasks
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prior experience in a leadership and managerial role
- Prior experience supervising or instructing young children in a group setting (e.g., gymnastics, ninja, school, camp, or similar environments)
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate with program coordinators, staff, students, and parents
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to develop lesson plans and oversee curriculum implementation
- Strong time management skills to balance coaching, administrative duties, and facility oversight
- Basic proficiency with scheduling, email communication, and record-keeping
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed for class setup and facility maintenance
- Comfortable leading staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience coaching gymnastics, ninja, or other movement-based programs OR teaching preschool
- Experience managing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for gymnastics

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
