About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Talent Acquisition & People Operations to build and scale their internal team. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, this person will lead all recruiting efforts while also establishing and managing broader people operations. This is a foundational hire, responsible for designing the recruiting infrastructure and shaping the company’s people strategy during a period of high growth. This role is fully in-person at the company’s Jersey City office.

Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Design and implement the company’s overall recruiting strategy.
- Own the full-cycle hiring process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing top candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and build strong talent pipelines.
- Implement scalable recruiting processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency.
- Develop and refine onboarding programs to set new hires up for success.
People Operations
- Oversee HR functions including benefits administration, succession planning, employee engagement, training, and development.
- Design and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and performance management programs.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership, advising on workforce planning, team development, and organizational design.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and values-aligned company culture.
- Use HR data to inform people decisions and optimize talent strategies.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations, providing support and resolving issues as needed.
Requirements
- 10 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a dedicated talent acquisition role.
- Proven success hiring top talent at venture-backed, high-growth tech companies.
- Experience scaling teams in Series A (and beyond) startups and building recruiting infrastructure from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of recruiting best practices, employer branding, and talent acquisition tools.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategies with business goals.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Compensation & Benefits
