Job Title : School Nurse - 1 : 1 with Medically Fragile Student
Location : Around Coos Bay, OR
Hours : Monday - Thursday, 7 : 15 AM - 4 : 15 PM
Hourly Pay : Starting at $42.50 - can increase depending on experience. An additional stipends will be provided for candidates who travel.
About the Role :
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Nurse to provide dedicated, one-on-one care to a medically fragile student. This position requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual who is comfortable working with complex medical needs.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a student with significant medical needs, including :
- Oral suctioning
- G-tube feedings and medication administration (including rescue medications for asthma and seizures)
- Hygiene and personal care assistance
- Assist with physical therapy (PT) services as needed, including transfers and positioning.
- Accompany the student on the school bus (to and from school sit)
- Monitor the student's health status and communicate with parents and medical professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with the school team to ensure the student's educational and social-emotional needs are met.
